I had a student who joined in 5th grade. He danced for 3 years, took a break to explore other opportunities, a few not so wholesome ones as well, and then came back to ballroom. He danced in High School and then a year at UVU before serving his mission (currently on). Planting the bug at a young age for this student, in his words “saved my life”, and gave him some of his very best friends. I know he will continue to dance in some way throughout his life.
