I had love the opportunity to teach dance classes again and learned something new.
Last year I had one girl that had some kind of disability but parents never mentioned.But in classes I could see it she will get super nervous about competition and steps were super hard for her to learn boys will not want to dance with her so it was a challenge to help her and have our boys willing to dance with her without me telling them what what's going on and be more kind.
But at the end of the year I have been doing a waltz graduation for our sixth graders in their special day their graduation.
She was in my level 1 because her first year doing ballroom but I was able to teach her waltz to perform in front of the 4 classes graduating that night.
Her sixth grader teacher came to me with water eyes and told me you.Jenny you make this girl to glow for the first time, I don't know if you see the difference in her but I did tonight!
That I think was one of the most rewarding words I heard about my teaching last year.Thats really the best payment I can get as a teacher when I can see my dancers glow and that they realize by themselves how they can dance now and show their moves in front of other students.
